Effective July 4, 2026. These terms cover your use of Checkers.now. They are meant to be reasonable and readable - the short version is: play fair, be kind in multiplayer, and enjoy the game.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Checkers.now.

The service

Checkers.now provides free online checkers and draughts games against a computer opponent and other players. The service is offered as-is and as-available. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Acceptable use

• Do not cheat or use bots, scripts or automated tools to manipulate games, multiplayer matches or leaderboards.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the service or its infrastructure.
• Do not scrape or bulk-download the site's content in a way that harms its operation.
• Be respectful in multiplayer chat and choose display names that are not offensive or impersonating.

Accounts

You do not need an account to play. If you sign in, it is through Google only, and you are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, the leaderboards or other players.

User content

Chat messages and display names you provide are your responsibility. We may remove content or names that break these terms, and we may limit access to features such as multiplayer to protect other players.

Intellectual property

The site's design, code, text and graphics are owned by Checkers.now or its licensors and are protected by law. The rules of checkers themselves are, of course, free for everyone. You may not copy substantial parts of the site for commercial use without permission.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Checkers.now is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
